The S8048 by Richmond Wheel and Castor Co. is a swivel frame castor and has a polyurethane wheel. This swivel castor is in our 300 series plate range and can safely take loads up to 300kg. The S8048 uses ball bearings for wheel rotation and is baseplate mount. This castors swivel frame permits the load to be steered. The diameter of the polyurethane wheel is 200mm, the wheel width is 50mm and you can order separately (Part Number: PU849). For the same castor with a brake, see S8048B.

Meeting and exceeding all performance standards due to a higher load bearing capacity, the 300 Series has a wide range of uses. A nylon wheel in a 300 series is most common for industrial and trolley applications, a rebound rubber wheel is ideal for road cases and transportable crates whilst a poly nylon wheel is best suited to undercover and showroom displays. Cast Iron, Poly Cast Iron and Aluminium wheels are also available with this series.
