Richmond’s 2 Tonne Steerable Load Skate is built for transporting heavy machinery where maneuverability is critical. Featuring a rotating turntable deck, this model allows loads to be guided around corners and positioned with precision during relocation tasks. The robust steel frame and non-slip rubber surface ensure the load remains secure while in motion.
Designed for industrial environments, this steerable skate performs best on smooth, flat surfaces. It can be used independently or paired with additional fixed or steerable skates to manage larger or irregular loads. Ideal for workshops, equipment installers and maintenance teams needing controlled directional movement under load.
The LSR012 is designed to steer and support machinery or equipment up to 2 tonnes during relocation. It forms the front, manoeuvrable component in a three-point load skate system, working in tandem with fixed rear skates such as the LSR010.
The LSR012 features a rotating turntable and a handle mounting point, allowing precise directional control when moving loads. Steering is done manually using a compatible tow handle or drawbar.
It is not recommended. The LSR012 is intended as the steerable front skate in a system. To move equipment safely and stably, it should be paired with fixed load skates at the rear.
This skate is fitted with durable nylon wheels, ideal for smooth, clean floors. Nylon reduces rolling resistance and holds up well under heavy loads on level surfaces.
Use only on flat, level indoor surfaces such as polished concrete or epoxy. It’s not suitable for rough or sloped terrain, as this may compromise control and stability.
No. The handle is sold separately. Richmond offers compatible handles and drawbars that mount to the built-in turntable bracket for controlled pushing or pulling.
