The S1044 by Richmond is a swivel frame castor and uses a solid pneumatic wheel. This swivel castor is one of our forged head series range and has a maximum capacity of 260kg. The S1044 uses ball bearings for wheel rotation. The swivel frame allows the castor to swivel 360°. The outside diameter of the solid pneumatic wheel is 250mm, the wheel width is 75mm and can be ordered separately (SN1005).
Applications including transport and logistics, heavy machinery, warehousing equipment and mobile platforms rely on the extreme shock loading, robust durable king pin, drop forged steel baseplate of Richmond’s Forged Head Series for loads up to 1500kg. Truly a great all round castor for those heavy duty applications requiring a towable option, zinc plated for corrosion resistance and the ability to withstand daily abuse that will not compromise performance.
