Sustainability Policy & Customer Recycling Recommendations
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Richmond Rolling Solutions is committed to recycling at least 95% of our metal waste from onshore manufacturing activities.
We also work closely with our overseas suppliers to produce metal pallets from waste metal generated during overseas manufacturing activities.
This initiative helps reduce our consumption of timber across our supply chain.
We are continuously working on:
- Reducing soft plastic packaging.
- Continuing to work towards zero polystyrene component within imported goods/packaging and zero polystyrene in packaging of goods to onshore customers.
Reduce, Reuse or Recycle – Check It Before You Chuck It
Richmond Rolling Solutions is committed to reducing soft plastic packaging and encourages all customers to identify the most sustainable way to dispose of packaging.
You can recycle many types of packaging through your local council recycling programs.

Recycling Cardboard
Richmond Rolling Solutions works closely with our cardboard supplier, VISY, to source quality recycled cardboard packaging for our customers.
Recycling
Most Richmond cardboard cartons can be reused or even composted. Find local recycling options at recyclingnearyou.com.au
Reusing
- B2B customers: You can reuse our cardboard boxes to send goods to your customers.
- B2C customers: Our cardboard boxes can be placed in your domestic roadside recycling bin once they’re flattened and any tape or plastic is removed.
Composting Cardboard
Uncoated cardboard (without heavy dyes) is an excellent resource for composting and home vegetable gardens.
Composting Tips:
- Remove any tape or labels
- Dampen cardboard to speed up decomposition
- Shred and add to your compost bin or pile, or apply flat pieces of cardboard to your garden for weed control
