RICHMOND WHEEL AND CASTOR COMPANY

Richmond is a family owned Company that began in the Australian suburb of Richmond, Victoria in October 1958. During the first 20 years of operation Richmond focused on manufacturing Materials Handling Equipment such as pallet trucks, stackers both manual and electric, as well as trolleys and trailers all distributed under the brand name Liftnmove.

Australian Standards and our clients dictated that many of the products we supplied needed to be modified or redeveloped by us thereby proving our ability to solve special application needs for our customers. Richmond Wheel and Castor Co was born when customers wanted supply of the wheels, castors and rollers we built for use on the equipment that we sold. A large portion of our clients also had the requirement for specially built castors and wheels to suit their own needs and applications, a service we distinctively continue to offer all clients today.

By the early eighties, Richmond had developed an impressive range of wheel and castor products and our latest catalogue clearly exhibits our continued search to improve, innovate and offer the very best products and service. Accordingly we have also built a worldwide procurement system that provides components and products to supply ex stock. Richmond builds and continues to improve a modern niche manufacturing plant in Melbourne to service the needs of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers in Australia, USA, New Zealand and China. The manufacturing agility and design skills that have resulted from this capacity to satisfy our clients needs, still shape Richmond's philosophy of providing unique professional solutions.

Design solutions are only as good as the service and logistic systems that support them. To this end, Richmond over the last 15 years has opened service stores in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Auckland - New Zealand.
